Our first show of the year was Saturday, April 23rd. The weather, workers and riders made for a great day at Circle D. We had a fairly small turn out given the competing shows that weekend but those that were there had some great rides and a good day with their horses. If any of them are like me who sat out most of the winter… they are probably a little bit sore afterwards. A big thanks to our sponsors for the show. High point was sponsored by Jimmy Briggs of Briggs Builders and Reserve High Point was sponsored by Barb Stocking, Realtor. A big thank you to all of those people who helped to get the grounds and facilities ready in advance for our first show. Everything looked great. Thanks to all our workers who made the show go smoothly and thanks to all the riders who come out and supported the club.
Our next show is April 30th and May 1st. They are 2 separate daily shows so if you can’t make one, don’t hesitate to come to the other day. We look forward to seeing you all next weekend. We will be awarding both high point and reserve high point at both shows due to our great sponsors. The April 30 show’s high point sponsor is jointly sponsored by Tried and True Horses and Barb Stocking, Realtor with reserve sponsored by Mrs. Pastures cookies. The May 1st show’s high point sponsor is Robert and Toni Rosenberger with reserve sponsored by Ray and Timmi Lemon. We are off to a great start with sponsors this year… if you know of anyone who might be interested in sponsoring please let us know and we can get a letter out to them to encourage their support. Also, don’t forget starting in May we will be doing our Tuesday night barrel races… If you can support or have questions please let Spring know.

The first ½ of our Western Ranch Classic on Saturday, May 14th was a huge success!
Our day 1 of the Western Ranch Classic was a little windy and chilly. We had 39
riders turn out to enjoy the day. A huge thanks to everyone who pitched in to help
us keep the show running. Unfortunately due to the high risk of rain on Sunday,
we rescheduled our day 2 show for Sunday, June 5th. We made the decision and informed
all the riders before the end of the show on Saturday. The May 15th show was intended
to be a normal show but unfortunately with the pending rain on Sunday we had to cancel
the show that morning. I would like to thank Eileen and Dani for all the hard work
in the kitchen, Phil and Matt Mazza for helping me with tractor issues, Barb Stocking
for helping with the arena Friday night, and Jimmy Briggs for helping with the Arena
Saturday night and Sunday morning and Anna Hernandez for keeping the paperwork moving
and times entered. Thanks also to Matt Mazza, Eileen Antonio-
Congratulations to Judy Sharp and her horse Seven for completing their final run toward their Sr. Elite Hall of Fame...way to go!!!
