What a wonderful show we had as the second
half of the Western Ranch Classic wrapped up, we would like to thank Jason
Boykin of Western Ranch & Supply in Vacaville, he has been a long time
supporter of Circle D and we greatly appreciate all of his efforts and
support! Thank you!
We
would like to thank all of our judges, Spring Krogue, Ellen Carr (who had to
judge extra), Cindy Williamson (who also helped extra to releave people,
plus her event), Bev Hampton, Barb Stocking, Bob Perry and myself, Dianna.
:-)
Thanks to Jullie Primeau who had a lot of new
people to deal with, questions, and still kept the show running smooth.
Thanks to Matt Mazza, Toni Rosenberg and Jason
Krogue for taking the judges test and passing it, yeah!!! Can't wait to see
them out and in the arena judging, we are always in need of more judges! A
special thank you to Bob Perry, for traveling down to give the judges test,
measuring ponies and helping judge.
Thank
you to Anna Hernandez , Laura Cutis and all the junior members who ran the
snack bar and did a fantastic spaghetti and salad plate. Also a big thanks
to Bev for doing all of the shopping for the snack bar! We are still
looking for more people to step up and help with the snack bar, Bev Hampton
will do all of the shopping, you just need to supply the workers, please
contact Bev at
bev_hampton@agilent.com.
With the
new rule that you have to be rated atleast FC to compete at State Show it
brought out some old familiar faces, Amy Odom from Salinas area hauled up to
get some times, she had some wild rides on her horse Dilly, but then she
brought out the big guns for barrels...she and her awesome mare Raisin ran a
17.9 in barrels, it was truly a great ride, way to go!
Gina
Giachetti and her beautiful mare Star were a source of entertainment...that
mare can be a handful but Gina sure "cowboyed up" and rode her! Way to hang
in there Gina!
Toni
Rosenberger was on her husband's horse Mr. Leggs and they turned in some
really nice times.
Lauren
Chandler went from not having a horse to ride since she sold her gelding
Jake to have TWO horses to ride...she leased Barb's darling gelding Banner
and rode him and then she also was trying out a nice mare of Ellen and
Jeff's, so she definitely was busy bouncing from horse to horse.
The
show ran smooth with 5 setups, thanks to everyone that helped to work them.
Please remember that when you ask for a set up event and sign up we expect
you or a member of your family to come out and help set up, work and run the
event...it can't be done alone and the set ups are not part of our normal
show, they are extra events that you are requesting...so please be courteous
and help with the set ups. Thank you.
There
were many new riders and lots of help, so thank you to everyone that
assisted. Mark Neth and his mother Donna Neth spent most of the day in the
announcers booth, thank you very much, we do appreciate all that you do!
Thanks to all the booth people, too many to name and all the arena people,
especially Timi who helped on every event along with Tricia who is still
without a horse.
