Circle D Newsletter
By: Eileen Antonio-Mazza
We had a great meeting with a
big turn out. Jason Krogue was our guest speaker. We all learned a lot about
our farriers, and our horses hooves. This meeting we will have the Veterinary
Emergency Response Team from UC Davis. Try to make it if you can. This month
we are all bringing healthy dishes. If you are attending this meeting please
bring your favorite to share with all of us. Stacey Kresha got "No Trespassing"
signs to post on the club house and fencing. We voted to eliminate the junior
membership. When you sign up for your new membership you will also be getting a
membership packet (one per family membership). We will be having a trail ride
for St Jude's on June 26th. The minimum donation is $20. We will be riding at
Lagoon Valley. It cost $5 to park. We are also adding a classifieds and foal
watch to our newsletter. Let me know if you have anything to post. Junior
fundraiser funds to be used for a state run show. Must be used that year or you
lose the funds. Phil Mazza will be doing the maintenance on the tractor for
the club. If you need anything for the tractor just call him.
For those of you did not hear
Dani Martin had to put Sister down last month.
President’s Corner

It
is hard to believe another month has come and gone. March already! Maybe that
means the rain is coming to a end. I am sure that everyone is aware that we are
still considering the best way to address our arena issues. Even if we do hire
someone to do the grading and repairs we will need to pull down the panels and
do all of the mowing. We have a work day planned for March 14th.
Please come out and help take down the panels. That way we can have the arena
ready for repairs as soon as it dries out enough.
I am very excited to be having the
Veterinary Emergency Response Team coming out to our meeting this month. They
will be talking to us about what to do if your horse goes down on the trail and
what to expect if your horse has to be rescued. The junior spaghetti feed is
coming up on March 12th. Come on out support the juniors and best
yet you won’t have to cook for yourself.
Hopefully everyone is having a great
season. Before we know if we will be riding at our arena and it should be a fun
and exciting summer.
Ride safe.
