Kitchen/Snack
Bar...We
do not have anyone signed up for the season to operate the snack bar. In
light of this we are going to try and operate the kitchen with volunteers
for a day. We have volunteers to operate the kitchen for at least 2 of our
shows so far. If you are able to volunteer to work in the kitchen for one
of our upcoming shows, please contact
Bev Hampton via email or by phone at
916-799-5385. Someone will do the shopping for you so you will just need to
confirm the menu you want for the day and be there to work. The snack bar
in addition to being a great convenience for our riders does also make money
to offset some of the club expenses. We hope you can volunteer your time to
support this. |

New
Drive Way!!!
A drive way with entry access directly off of Meridian Road which should
help any of you in the larger rigs. A huge thanks go to the Williamson
Family who got almost 100% of the material, and equipment used donated by
their neighbors and friends. The driveway was topped off and leveled with
some gravel donated by Ray Lemen. Thanks also to all the volunteer laborers
who helped dig out, set the pipe and cover it up.

Club News
(provided by Bev Hampton)...We
are excited to share with you all the recent activity that has been going on
with the club. We are busy getting ready for the kick off of our show
season on April 20th.
On March 14th the Junior Members of Circle D with the help of their parents
and others put on a Spaghetti Feed as a fundraiser. These funds will be used
to help offset some of the costs of the State Show for the juniors who
participated. This was a great success. There were several people that had
been working on the club house and grounds to get it ready. Dave Hernandez
was kind enough to renovate our men's bathroom with new sheetrock and
finish. The Curtiss Family of Help U Build Pools replaced the linoleum in
our club house and disposed of all our tree cuttings and trash. The
Rosenberger's cleaned up some of the graffiti and got the exterior lights
working. They also let in All Weather Heating and Cooling who repaired our
heater. The general upkeep and cleaning around the club house was provided
by our March 9th work day crew. A huge thanks to everyone who has been
pitching in and helping!
All this work made for an improved environment to hold the Spaghetti Feed.
We had a few more juniors join us with this year Spaghetti Feed. If you
missed out and want to get involved if we do this next year, you need to be
a club member and attend our membership meetings so you get information
about any upcoming activities.
In addition to the Spaghetti Feed itself, we also had a cake walk and
raffle. Each of the participating juniors was responsible for providing the
cakes, acquiring the raffle items, and working at the event. Several of our
juniors were also seen at the work day! What a great group of kids. A huge
thanks to all the friends and family who supported this fundraising event.
The specific juniors who benefited from this event were Roquel, Brayden and
Bailey Merrick, Tricia Kash, Courtney Curtiss, Taaron Moore, Jessica Howes,
Emily Bidou, Shelby Burchel, Aaron and Austin Hampton. |

New
Tractor!!!
We
also are the proud owners of a large, heavy, green, 60+ HP John Deer
Tractor. Timmi and Ray Lemen looked at SEVERAL tractors for us and
negotiated a great deal for us. They have also, with the support of our
Circle D neighbors, Neal Weaver of Weaver trucking, ripped the arena to
prepare it for the new season. These are the same folks who put so much
time and effort into getting the water truck running for us last year. These
are great friends and neighbors of Circle D. In addition to the use of
their own tractor and time, Weaver Trucking will be the sponsor of our April
20th show. |

Classic was a HUGE success!
Slide show & high point, recap and
results posted
here!
Who is Francis Murrillo, well as one of Circle D's Sponsors she is a long
time Vacaville resident whose daughter Debbie used to Ride Pony Club with
Spring Krogue. She loves horses and enjoyed the years her daughter rode.
Now although no one in her family rides she continues to support other
riders both young and old and loves that they can strive to better there
riding and receive the quality of awards that her sponsorship allows. |
