Welcome to Circle D Horsemen's Association, we are a non-profit horse club that was founded more than fifty years ago by horse enthusiasts whose interests ranged from pleasure events, working cow events, gymkhanas and barrel racing.  Today our club focuses on gymkhanas, barrel races and trail riding.

During the months of July and August we will be starting our shows earlier than normal to beat some of the heat.  Sign up at 7am and Ride at 8am.   June 26th & 27th  The weather was hot, well over 100 degrees, but we still had 40+ riders brave the heat and compete for their times.  Thank you to Dani Martin for graciously sponsoring the show.  Results and pics  posted  here.

  CGA State Show - District 4 is working Poles I, Arena 1 on Sunday 7/26 at State Show.  We will need time writers, announcers, arena workers, judges, gate people and keep in mind we are responsible for working the match race for the Poles I event as well.  So see Bev Hampton to sign up to work.  

Sunday, June 7th, was a perfect day for a show, beautiful weather and fast ground! We had an awesome show with more than 50 riders.  Thank you to all that came out to ride and work, we do appreciate all of your efforts.  Click here for results and pics.

 
Set Up Request Process:  Please Note: Set ups must be requested to Bev Hampton by noon on the Wednesday prior to the show.  Bev Hampton (916-799-5385or bev_hampton@agilent.com). Which sets ups will be run is based on the order they are requested and time permitting. Set ups may be run 1 hour before the show or following the show (time permitting). Please call Bev Hampton the day before the show for information on which set ups will be run and if they will be run before or after the show. The Western Ranch Classic held on May 30th and 31st was a huge success!  Thank you to Jason Boykin of Western Ranch for sponsoring the event, we awarded beautiful buckles to the series champion as well as gift certificates to 2nd and 3rd place series winners.  Results & Pics Posted Here

Congratulations!!!  Chrystal Moore completed her 2nd quest for Hall of Fame over the Memorial Day Weekend at Northern Classic, Clements, CA.

  Dixon May Fair News!  Three of our Circle D members won awards at the fair.
 
Danielle McCants won the Muriel Gill Silver Spur award at the Dixon May Fair Horse Show.  The Silver Spur award is given to the rider with the most points at the 2 day horse show.  The riders compete in Western, English and Gymkhana.  She won the award on her pony, Mandy.  She has been chasing this very prestigious award for 5 years now.
 
Tricia Kash won the Senior High Point Gymkhana trophy.  She competed on Roxy.
 
Courtney Curtis is the 2009 Dixon May Fair Jr. Princess.  Courtney rode her horse Damien.  Courtney received the Reserve Champion trophy for horsemastership.  She also won a trophy for Best Essay.
